Engr Alex Ogedegbe is a founding Member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), Past President of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, and President, Oil & Gas Design Engineers of Nigeria (OGDEN). He is a registered member of COREN. He is also a Fellow and the current Hon. Secretary of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.

He is currently the Chairman of ILF Consulting Engineers Nig. Ltd, Macmorgan Engineering Ltd and Chairman of Linetrate Gas Ltd (an indigenous gas company).
